Big news from the edge of the Fort Pierce Inlet: Starting the first week of November, we have a brand-new menu. The Grouper Thumbs are still here. So are the Fish Dip, the Coconut Island Shrimp and every last one of the Island Rum Concoctions. Nobody panic. But we’ve added some new faces, given the burger a promotion and taught the blender a few new tricks. Here’s what’s new.
The Headliner: Shrimp & Grits
Every menu needs a showstopper, and this time it’s a Southern classic. Shrimp over a bowl of grits, served with a view of the boats rolling in. It’s comfort food that happens to come with a waterfront seat. You’ll find it under Waterfront Entrees for $28. We’re so excited about it that the photographer hasn’t caught up yet. Consider this your chance to see it before the Internet does.
The Smashburger Gets Its Own Section
The burger has been promoted. The On the Edge Smashburger now has a section of its own, and it comes in three sizes depending on how the day went:
- Single, $12. A solid lunch.
- Double, $15. You came by boat. You earned it.
- Triple, $18. We admire your ambition.
Every one comes with fries. Want to customize? Add a patty for $3 or extra cheese for $2.
Frozen Cocktails, Fresh Out of the Blender
Florida heat called. We answered with a whole new Frozen Cocktails lineup at $13 each:
- Strawberry Daiquiri
- Piña Colada
- Strawberry Banana
- Rum Runner
- Mudslide
Driving the boat home? Bringing the kids? The Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri, Virgin Piña Colada and a Chocolate Milkshake are $9, so nobody at the table misses out. And remember the house rule: you can make any drink frozen for $3.
Something Green, Something Warm, Something Sweet
The Garden Salad ($12) joins the lineup next to the Classic Caesar and The Edge Wedge. Make it a meal by adding chicken ($6), shrimp ($7) or mahi ($8).
Our Clam Chowder ($13) now has a sidekick. Ask your server about the Soup of the Day. It changes, so that’s half the fun.
And yes, there’s finally a Dessert section. Ask about the Dessert of the Day. The selection rotates, so you’ll just have to keep coming back. What a shame.
A Few Small Upgrades
- Loaded Nachos ($14) are here to share. Or not. We won’t judge.
- House wine by the bottle is now $22. That’s a lot of sunset for the money.
- A full Beverages list for the non-drinkers: Coke products, pink lemonade, iced tea, coffee and bottled water.
Don’t Forget Happy Hour
The best way to try the new menu might be to start early. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 3 to 6 p.m. 12 oz. domestic drafts are $3, 12 oz. imported and craft drafts are $4, and house wine by the glass and well cocktails are half price.
